Creative young people in Orlando don't wait for opportunities, they create them.

Inside look at the production behind a community-led fashion show, showcasing models from all different backgrounds and levels of experience.

For my second time working with Nova Collective, I watched directors Marc and Bella completely transform an event space in Downtown Orlando into a high-fashion runway complete with large dressing rooms for the show of over 80 models!

As a photographer in the area, I always take these opportunities to explore how the community expresses its fashion sense. This show’s theme was eclipse, representing another phase in the process of rebirthing yourself and becoming the person you were always meant to be. The outfits were more alternative, edgy streetwear. Opposed to the angelic take on silhouette from the last show. They also centered sex within their designs. To celebrate edginess, kinkiness, and being a part of knowing yourself and others.
